Home School Support

We aim to provide home school families with an experienced educational resource and a welcoming place for children to learn, grow, and build confidence. With more than 23 years of public-school teaching experience, extensive training in reading intervention and the Orton-Gillingham approach, our educator can work alongside parents to complement their homeschool curriculum and provide additional academic and social-emotional support.

Families can use our program to supplement their existing homeschool education through engaging lessons, literacy support, writing activities, social-emotional learning, and opportunities for children to develop positive social skills and self-confidence. We can collaborate with parents to identify areas where their child may benefit from additional instruction or enrichment, while respecting each family's individual homeschooling goals and educational approach. Our goal is to give homeschool parents another trusted resource while giving children meaningful opportunities to learn, connect, and thrive.

Dyslexia Intervention

Our Reading Academy provides individualized dyslexia intervention designed to help students build the foundational reading skills they need to become confident, capable readers. Through structured, explicit instruction, we focus on areas such as phonemic awareness, phonics, decoding, spelling, fluency, and reading comprehension. Lessons are tailored to each child's individual learning needs and pace, giving students the repetition, strategies, and support they need to make meaningful progress. Our goal is not only to strengthen reading skills, but also to help children develop confidence and discover that they truly can become successful readers.

School Readiness

Helping children build the skills and confidence they need to feel prepared and successful as they enter school. Through engaging, age-appropriate activities, we support early literacy, pre-reading and writing skills, letter and number recognition, following directions, listening, communication, fine-motor development, and the ability to work independently. We also help children practice important classroom skills such as taking turns, staying focused, completing activities, and transitioning between tasks. By creating a positive and encouraging learning environment, we help children develop both the academic foundation and confidence they need to make a successful transition into the classroom.

Parent Consultation

Parenting and educating young children comes with so many questions—and you don't have to figure it all out alone. Our parent consultations provide a supportive, knowledgeable space to talk through your child's individual learning needs, strengths, challenges, and next steps. Whether your child is preschool-aged, beginning school, struggling with reading, or being homeschooled, we can help you understand what skills to focus on and how to support learning at home.
Have you found yourself asking: Is my child where they should be developmentally? Are they ready to start school? Why are they struggling with letters, sounds, reading? How do I know if my child may be showing signs of dyslexia? Am I providing enough—or am I expecting too much?

Our goal is to give parents clarity, practical strategies, and reassurance, while helping them create a learning experience that is positive, encouraging, and tailored to their child's unique needs.
